Teams gain an entry by winning any of the qualifying events. If a team has already won an entry by a previous event, then the runner up of the A the berth. If both the 1st or 2nd place teams have earned an entry the berth goes to a Wilcard team. Another reason why the Wildcard may be offered is if a team who qualifies loses more than two original players or if they have to withdraw for conflicting schedule reasons. The teams with the highest points accumulated in events by the last event will receive a wildcard spot.
